As the returning people approached, Eved-Melekh saw Yirmeyahu and those coming back toward Yerushalayim.

He ran toward the prophet with tears.

Yirmeyahu recognized him and embraced him.

Eved-Melekh said, “Blessed is Yahuah who preserved me to see the return.”

Yirmeyahu answered, “Blessed is the One who remembers mercy in the midst of Judgment.”

Together they entered the land from which the people had been driven.
