4:1
My child, remember night and day the one who speaks to you the Word of Elohim, and honor the faithful teacher.
4:2
Where the sovereign Word is faithfully spoken, there the authority of the Master is being served.
4:3
Seek daily the company of the set-apart, so that you may find rest in their words.
4:4
Do not create division; reconcile those who contend.
4:5
Judge with righteousness and do not show partiality when correcting transgression.
4:6
Do not live divided between trust and constant doubt.
4:7
Do not stretch out your hands quickly to receive while pulling them back when it is time to give.
4:8
If resources pass through your hands, use them also for mercy and release from the fruit of sin.
4:9
Do not hesitate to give and do not complain while giving.
4:10
Know that the One who repays righteousness is good.
4:11
Do not turn away from the needy; share with your brother and do not speak as though every possession were yours alone.
4:12
If you share together in what does not decay, how much more should you share what does decay? Do not withhold discipline from son or daughter; from youth teach them reverence for Elohim.
4:13
Do not command a servant or maidservant with bitterness when they trust in the same Elohim, lest your cruelty teach them to despise the One over both of you.
4:14
For He does not call according to outward status, but receives those whom the Ruach prepares.
4:15
And you who serve under authority, carry out your service with reverence and integrity.
4:16
Hate hypocrisy and everything contrary to the pleasure of the Master.
4:17
Do not abandon the commandments of the Master.
4:18
Guard what you received, neither adding to it nor taking away from it.
4:19
In the qahal confess your transgressions; do not approach prayer carrying an evil conscience.
4:20
This is the Way of Life.
