Do not make your fasts identical with those called hypocrites, who fast on the second and fifth days of the week.

Rather, fast on the fourth day and on the Preparation day.

Do not pray as the hypocrites do; pray as the Master commanded in his Besorah.

Our Father in the heavens, may Your Name be set apart.

May Your Kingdom come.

May Your will be done on earth as it is in the heavens.

Give us today the bread we need.

Release our debts as we also release those indebted to us.

Do not bring us into testing beyond us, but deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours are the power and the glory through the ages.

Pray in this manner three times each day.
