1
And Mordekhai remained in the king’s court with Bigthan and Teresh, two eunuchs of the king who guarded the threshold.
2
And he heard their reasoning and searched out their purposes, and learned that they were preparing to stretch out their hands against King Achashverosh. So he made the matter known to the king.
3
And the king examined the two eunuchs, and when they confessed, they were put to death.
4
And the king caused these matters to be written in the Sefer of Remembrance. And Mordekhai also wrote concerning these matters.
5
And the king commanded Mordekhai to serve in the royal court, and he gave him gifts because of these things.
6
But Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, who was held in great honor before the king, sought to do evil to Mordekhai and to his people because of the two eunuchs of the king.
