Book 3 — Chapter 3 - The Letters of the Emissaries
Book III carries the narrative through the destruction of Yerushalayim, the post-apostolic successions, Domitian, Trajan, early writings, and Eusebius's catalogue of accepted and disputed texts. A major feature of the chapter is documentary: Eusebius transmits, summarizes, or frames a letter, decree, or other writing because he wants the reader to see the institutional record rather than rely on his narration alone. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 3, Chapter 3, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'The Letters of the Emissaries'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
