Book 3 — Chapter 36 - Ignatios and His Letters
Book III carries the narrative through the destruction of Yerushalayim, the post-apostolic successions, Domitian, Trajan, early writings, and Eusebius's catalogue of accepted and disputed texts. A major feature of the chapter is documentary: Eusebius transmits, summarizes, or frames a letter, decree, or other writing because he wants the reader to see the institutional record rather than rely on his narration alone. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 3, Chapter 36, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'Ignatios and His Letters'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
