Book 9 — Chapter 9 - The Victory of the Favored Emperors
Book IX narrates the renewed anti-Christian policy under Maximinus Daia, propaganda, famine and war, and the victories of Constantine and Licinius over rival rulers. The chapter advances Eusebius's chronological chain by identifying the people, writings, disputes, and public events that connect one generation of the assemblies to the next. In this reconstruction the chapter coordinate is preserved as Book 9, Chapter 9, and the full subject is retained under the heading 'The Victory of the Favored Emperors'. Names, dates, quoted-source relationships, and political or textual function are kept distinct from Eusebius's own interpretive claims.
