Sefer Qälémentos — Book 1, 3. Adam, the garden, and the command

Adam was formed and placed in the garden. The breath of life was given to him, and he was instructed concerning the command. Hawwah was fashioned for companionship, and the two were clothed in honor while they kept the word entrusted to them.

The adversary envied the dignity given to humanity. Through deceit he turned the command into suspicion and desire into rebellion. Adam and Hawwah transgressed, their former covering was lost, and mortality entered their condition.
