1
Then Toviyah called Rafa’el and said to him: “Brother Azaryah, take with you four servants and two camels, and go to Rages.
2
Go to Gavay’el, give him the written pledge, receive the silver, and bring him with you to the wedding feast.
3
For you know that my father is counting the days, and if I delay even one day I will cause him great grief.
4
And you see how Re’u’el has sworn, and I cannot break his oath.”
5
So Rafa’el went with the servants and the camels to Rages in Media. And they lodged with Gavay’el. And Rafa’el gave him the written pledge and told him that Toviyah son of Toviyt had taken an ishah and was inviting him to the wedding feast.
6
Then Gavay’el rose and counted out the sealed bags of silver, and they placed them upon the camels. And early in the morning they departed together for the wedding feast.
7
And when they came to the house of Re’u’el, they found Toviyah reclining at the table. And he sprang up and greeted Gavay’el. And Gavay’el wept and blessed him, saying: “Good and noble son of a good and noble father, a righteous ish who gives in righteousness. May Yahuah give the blessing of the heavens to you and to your ishah, and to the father and mother of your ishah. Blessed is Elohim, because I have seen Toviyt my kinsman in you.”
