1
Then Shəlomah began to build the House of Yahuah in Yerushalayim, upon Mount Moriyah, where He had appeared to Daviyd his father, at the place Daviyd had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Yevusi.
2
And he began to build in the second month, on the second day, in the fourth year of his reign.
3
These were the foundations laid by Shəlomah for building the House of Elohim: its length, by the former cubit measure, was sixty cubits, and its width twenty cubits.
4
The porch before the House was twenty cubits long, corresponding to the width of the House, and its height was one hundred twenty cubits; and he overlaid its interior with pure gold.
5
And he covered the Great House with cypress wood, overlaid it with good gold, and set palm forms and chains upon it.
6
And he adorned the House with precious stones for splendor; and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
7
He covered the House—its beams, thresholds, walls, and doors—with gold, and engraved keruvim upon the walls.
8
And he made the House of the Most Set-Apart Place. Its length, corresponding to the width of the House, was twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with six hundred talents of good gold.
9
The weight of gold for the nails was fifty sheqels, and he covered the upper chambers with gold.
10
In the House of the Most Set-Apart Place he made two keruvim of sculpted work, and they overlaid them with gold.
11
The wings of the keruvim were twenty cubits long. One wing of the first, five cubits long, touched the wall of the House; its other wing, five cubits long, touched the wing of the other keruv.
12
One wing of the other keruv, five cubits long, touched the wall of the House; its other wing, five cubits long, joined the wing of the first keruv.
13
The wings of these keruvim spread twenty cubits. They stood upon their feet, and their faces were toward the House.
14
And he made the veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen, and set keruvim upon it.
15
Before the House he made two pillars, thirty-five cubits long; and the capital upon the top of each was five cubits.
16
He made chains in the inner sanctuary and placed them upon the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates and placed them among the chains.
17
He raised the pillars before the Temple, one on the right and one on the left. He called the name of the right pillar Yakhin, and the name of the left Boaz.
