1
And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, in which Shəlomah built the House of Yahuah and his own house,
2
that Shəlomah rebuilt the cities Churam had given him, and caused the children of Yisra’el to dwell there.
3
And Shəlomah went to Chamat-Tzovah and prevailed over it.
4
He built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities he built in Chamat.
5
He also built upper Beit-Choron and lower Beit-Choron, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars;
6
and Baalat, all the storage cities belonging to Shəlomah, all the chariot cities, the cities of the horsemen, and all Shəlomah desired to build in Yerushalayim, in Levanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
7
All the people remaining from the Chittim, Emorim, Perizzim, Chivvim, and Yevusim, who were not from Yisra’el—
8
from their children remaining after them in the land, whom the children of Yisra’el had not consumed—Shəlomah raised a labor levy, as it remains to this day.
9
But Shəlomah did not make servants from the children of Yisra’el for his work; for they were warriors, commanders of his officers, and commanders of his chariots and horsemen.
10
And these were the chief officers of King Shəlomah: two hundred fifty who ruled over the people.
11
And Shəlomah brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the City of Daviyd to the house he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of Daviyd king of Yisra’el, because the places to which the Ark of Yahuah has come are set apart.”
12
Then Shəlomah offered ascending offerings to Yahuah upon the altar of Yahuah that he had built before the porch,
13
according to the duty of each day: offering according to the commandment of Mosheh on the Shabbatot, the new moons, and the appointed feasts three times in the year—at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths.
14
And according to the ordinance of Daviyd his father, he appointed the divisions of the kohenim over their service, and the Leviyim over their charges, to praise and minister before the kohenim according to the duty of each day; and the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate, for such was the commandment of Daviyd, the ish of Elohim.
15
And they did not turn aside from the commandment of the king concerning the kohenim and Leviyim in any matter or concerning the treasuries.
16
Thus all the work of Shəlomah was established, from the day the foundation of the House of Yahuah was laid until it was completed. So the House of Yahuah was complete.
17
Then Shəlomah went to Etzyon-Gever and to Eylot upon the shore of the sea, in the land of Edom.
18
And Churam sent him ships by the hand of his servants, and servants knowing the sea. They went with the servants of Shəlomah to Ofir and took from there four hundred fifty talents of gold and brought it to King Shəlomah.
