1
And the queen of Sheva heard the report of Shəlomah, and she came to Yerushalayim to test Shəlomah with difficult questions, with a very great company and camels bearing spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. She came to Shəlomah and spoke with him concerning all that was within her heart.
2
And Shəlomah declared to her all her matters; no matter was hidden from Shəlomah that he did not declare to her.
3
And the queen of Sheva saw the wisdom of Shəlomah, and the house he had built,
4
the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the standing of his ministers and their garments, his cupbearers and their garments, and his ascent by which he went up to the House of Yahuah; and there was no more breath within her.
5
And she said to the king, “The word I heard in my land concerning your words and your wisdom was true.
6
But I did not trust their words until I came and my eyes saw; and see, not even half the abundance of your wisdom was declared to me. You have exceeded the report I heard.
7
Joyful are your ish, and joyful are these your servants who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom.
8
Blessed is Yahuah your Elohim, who delighted in you to set you upon His throne as king for Yahuah your Elohim. Because your Elohim loved Yisra’el, to establish them through all ages, He set you over them as king to do judgment and righteousness.”
9
And she gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, spices in very great abundance, and precious stones. There had never been spices like those the queen of Sheva gave to King Shəlomah.
10
And the servants of Churam and the servants of Shəlomah, who brought gold from Ofir, also brought algum wood and precious stones.
11
And the king made from the algum wood stairs for the House of Yahuah and for the king’s house, and lyres and harps for the singers. Nothing like them had been seen before in the land of Yehudah.
12
And King Shəlomah gave to the queen of Sheva all she desired, whatever she asked, besides what she had brought to the king. Then she turned and went to her land, she and her servants.
13
Now the weight of gold that came to Shəlomah in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
14
besides what the traveling merchants and traders brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the land brought gold and silver to Shəlomah.
15
And King Shəlomah made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred sheqels of beaten gold went into each shield.
16
And he made three hundred small shields of beaten gold; three hundred sheqels of gold went into each shield. And the king placed them in the House of the Forest of Levanon.
17
And the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.
18
The throne had six steps and a gold footstool fastened to the throne, with armrests on either side of the seat and two lions standing beside the armrests.
19
And twelve lions stood there upon the six steps, one on each side. Nothing like it had been made for any kingdom.
20
All the drinking vessels of King Shəlomah were gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Levanon were pure gold. Silver was counted as nothing in the days of Shəlomah.
21
For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Churam. Once every three years the ships of Tarshish came bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
22
Thus King Shəlomah became greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23
And all the kings of the earth sought the face of Shəlomah to hear his wisdom, which Elohim had placed within his heart.
24
And each brought his gift: vessels of silver, vessels of gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, year by year.
25
And Shəlomah had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Yerushalayim.
26
And he ruled over all the kings from the River to the land of the Pelishtim and to the border of Mitzrayim.
27
And the king made silver in Yerushalayim as common as stones, and cedars as abundant as sycamores in the lowland.
28
And they brought horses to Shəlomah from Mitzrayim and from every land.
29
And the rest of the matters of Shəlomah, first and last, are they not written in the words of Natan the prophet, in the prophecy of Achiyah the Shiloniy, and in the visions of Yeddo the seer concerning Yarov’am son of Nevat?
30
And Shəlomah reigned in Yerushalayim over all Yisra’el forty years.
31
And Shəlomah lay down with his fathers and was buried in the City of Daviyd his father. And Rechav’am his son reigned in his place.
