For every matter of transgression—concerning an ox, concerning a donkey, concerning a sheep, concerning a garment, concerning any lost thing of which one says, ‘This is it’—the matter of both shall come before the elohim. The one whom the elohim declare guilty shall repay double to his neighbor.
