The same Agrippa imprisons Kepha, intending public execution after Pesach, but Acts narrates Kepha's escape from confinement through a messenger. Agrippa afterward appears publicly in Caesarea dressed in royal splendor. The crowd acclaims his voice as divine; rather than refusing the honor, he receives it. Acts says he is struck and dies because he did not give glory to Elohim. Yosephus independently describes Agrippa appearing in a silver garment that reflected the morning light, the crowd hailing him as more than mortal, and a sudden severe illness followed by death after several days. Eusebius places the accounts side by side and treats their convergence as especially significant.
