1
And it came to pass in the twenty-fifth year of Yekonyah, king of Yehudah, the Word of Yahuah came upon Baruk son of Neriyah and said to him:
2
Have you seen all that this people has done to Me? The evils done by these two tribes that remain are greater than those of the ten tribes carried away.
3
For the former tribes were compelled by their kings to sin; but these two compelled their kings and drove them to sin.
4
Therefore, behold, I bring evil upon this city and upon those dwelling in it. It shall be removed from before Me for a time, and I shall scatter this people among the nations, that they may do good to the nations.
5
My people shall be disciplined; and the time shall come when they will seek the prosperity of their appointed times.
