1
I saw a vision. Behold, one cloud rose from the very great sea. It was full of bright and dark waters, many colors were in those waters, and the likeness of great lightning appeared at its summit.
2
I saw the cloud pass swiftly in rapid courses and cover the whole earth.
3
After these things the cloud began to rain upon the earth the waters within it.
4
I saw that the waters descending from it were not all of one likeness.
5
At first they were very dark for a time, then bright waters appeared, though not many. After these, dark again, then bright, then dark, then bright.
6
This continued twelve times, but the dark waters were always more than the bright.
7
At the end of the cloud it rained dark waters darker than all before them, with fire mingled in them. Wherever those waters descended, they worked corruption and destruction.
8
After these things I saw the lightning from the summit of the cloud seize it and cast it down to the earth.
9
That lightning shone more greatly, illumined the whole earth, and healed the places where the last waters had descended and destroyed.
10
It held the whole earth and ruled over it.
11
After these things, behold, twelve rivers rose from the sea. They surrounded that lightning and submitted to it.
12
I awoke from fear.
