1
Therefore I have made these things known to you while I live. I said that you should chiefly learn the Commands of the Mighty One, so I might instruct you and set before you some of the Commands of His Judgment before I die.
2
Remember that Mosheh once called the heavens and earth to witness against you and said: “If you transgress the Torah you shall be scattered, but if you guard it you shall be planted.”
3
He spoke further to you while you were all together, twelve tribes in the wilderness.
4
After his death you thrust these things away from you, and therefore the things spoken beforehand reached you.
5
Mosheh spoke to you beforehand so they would not befall you, yet behold, they befell you because you abandoned the Torah.
6
I also now tell you, after you have suffered, that if you obey what is spoken to you, you shall receive from the Mighty One everything laid up and preserved for you.
7
Let this letter be a witness between me and you, so that you remember the Commands of the Mighty One, and that I also may have an answer in ruach before the One who sent me.
8
Remember Tziyon and the Torah, the Set-Apart Land and your brothers, the Covenant and your fathers; do not forget the appointed celebration or the Shabbat.
9
Deliver this letter and the completeness of the Torah to your sons after you, as your fathers delivered it to you.
10
At every time petition and pray diligently with all your being, so that the Mighty One may be pleased with you and not reckon the multitude of your sins, but remember the uprightness of your fathers.
11
For if He does not judge us according to His abundant compassion, woe to us, to everyone born.
