1
And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,
2
“This is the statute of the Torah that Yahuah has commanded, saying: Speak to the sons of Yisra’el, that they bring to you a red heifer, whole, in which there is no defect and upon which no yoke has gone up.
3
And you shall give her to Elazar the kohen, and he shall bring her outside the camp, and she shall be slaughtered before his face.
4
And Elazar the kohen shall take from her blood with his finger and sprinkle from her blood toward the face of the Tent of Meeting seven times.
5
And the heifer shall be burned before his eyes—her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, together with her dung, shall be burned.
6
And the kohen shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
7
And the kohen shall wash his garments and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp. And the kohen shall be unclean until evening.
8
And the one who burns her shall wash his garments in water and bathe his flesh in water, and he shall be unclean until evening.
9
And a clean ish shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and place them outside the camp in a clean place, and they shall be kept for the congregation of the sons of Yisra’el for water of separation. It is for purification from sin.
10
And the one who gathers up the ashes of the heifer shall wash his garments and be unclean until evening. And it shall be for the sons of Yisra’el and for the sojourner who sojourns in their midst as an everlasting statute.
11
The one who touches the dead body of any Adam shall be unclean seven days.
12
He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day, then on the seventh day he shall not be clean.
13
Everyone who touches a dead body, the being of an Adam who has died, and does not purify himself, makes the Dwelling of Yahuah unclean. And that being shall be cut off from Yisra’el, because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him. He shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still upon him.
14
This is the Torah when an Adam dies in a tent: everyone who enters the tent and everything that is in the tent shall be unclean seven days.
15
And every open vessel upon which there is no covering bound upon it is unclean.
16
And everyone who touches in the open field one slain by the sword, or one dead, or a bone of an Adam, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
17
And for the unclean one they shall take from the ashes of the burning of the sin offering, and living water shall be placed upon them in a vessel.
18
And a clean ish shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the beings who were there, and upon the one who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.
19
And the clean one shall sprinkle upon the unclean one on the third day and on the seventh day. And on the seventh day he shall purify him, and he shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and at evening he shall be clean.
20
But the ish who is unclean and does not purify himself, that being shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has made the Holy Place of Yahuah unclean. The water of separation was not sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
21
And it shall be for them as an everlasting statute: the one who sprinkles the water of separation shall wash his garments, and the one who touches the water of separation shall be unclean until evening.
22
And whatever the unclean one touches shall be unclean, and the being who touches it shall be unclean until evening.
