1
And when Yahushua came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
2
And see— an ish afflicted with tzara’at came near and bowed himself before him, saying: “Master, if you are willing, you are able to make me clean.”
3
And Yahushua stretched out his hand, touched him, and said: “I am willing. Be clean.” And immediately his tzara’at was cleansed.
4
And Yahushua said to him: “See that you tell no one. But go, show yourself to the kohen, and present the offering which Mosheh commanded as a testimony to them.”
5
And when he entered Kefar-Nachum, a Roman centurion came near to him, petitioning him,
6
and saying: “Master, my servant is lying in the house, paralyzed, and suffering terribly.”
7
And Yahushua said to him: “I shall come and heal him.”
8
But the centurion answered and said: “Master, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof. Only speak the word, and my servant shall be healed.
9
For I also am an ish under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one: ‘Go,’ and he goes. And to another: ‘Come,’ and he comes. And to my servant: ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10
And when Yahushua heard this, he marveled and said to those following: “Truly I tell you: I have not found such trust even in Yisra’el.
11
And I tell you: many shall come from east and west and recline with Avraham, Yitzchaq, and Yaaqov in the Kingdom of the heavens.
12
But sons of the Kingdom shall be cast into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and grinding of teeth.”
13
And Yahushua said to the centurion: “Go. As you trusted, so let it be for you.” And his servant was healed in that hour.
14
And Yahushua came into the house of Kepha and saw his mother-in-law lying down and burning with fever.
15
And he touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she rose and began to serve them.
16
And when evening came, they brought to him many who were afflicted by unclean ruachot. And he drove out the ruachot with a word and healed all those who were suffering,
17
so that what was spoken through Yeshayahu the prophet might be fulfilled: “He took our weaknesses and carried our sicknesses.”
18
And when Yahushua saw great crowds around him, he commanded that they cross to the other side.
19
And one scribe came near and said to him: “Teacher, I shall follow you wherever you go.”
20
And Yahushua said to him: “Foxes have dens, and birds of the heavens have nests, but the Son of Adam has nowhere to lay his head.”
21
And another of his talmidim said to him: “Master, permit me first to go and bury my father.”
22
But Yahushua said to him: “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
23
And when he entered the boat, his talmidim followed him.
24
And see— a great storm arose upon the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves. But he was sleeping.
25
And they came near and awakened him, saying: “Master, save us. We are perishing.”
26
And he said to them: “Why are you afraid, you of little trust?” Then he rose and rebuked the ruachot and the sea, and there came a great calm.
27
And the men marveled, saying: “What kind of ish is this, that even the ruachot and the sea obey him?”
28
And when he came to the other side, into the territory of the Gadarenes, two men afflicted by unclean ruachot came out from among the tombs to meet him. They were exceedingly violent, so that no one was able to pass by that road.
29
And see— they cried out, saying: “What is there between us and you, Son of Elohim? Have you come here before the appointed time to torment us?”
30
And far from them there was a large herd of swine feeding.
31
And the unclean ruachot petitioned him, saying: “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of swine.”
32
And he said to them: “Go.” And they came out and entered the swine. And see— the whole herd rushed down the steep slope into the sea and died in the waters.
33
And those who were tending them fled. And entering the city, they reported everything, including what had happened to the men who had been afflicted by the unclean ruachot.
34
And see— the whole city came out to meet Yahushua. And when they saw him, they petitioned him to depart from their territory.
