Elohim of my fathers, and Master of Covenant-Faithfulness, who made all things by Your Word,
2
and by Your wisdom formed Adam to rule over the creatures You made,
3
and to govern the world in holiness and Righteousness, and to execute Judgment with uprightness of being—
4
give me wisdom, who sits beside Your Throne, and do not reject me from among Your servants.
5
For I am Your servant and the son of Your maidservant, an Adam weak and short-lived, with little understanding of Judgment and laws.
6
For even if an ish were whole among the sons of Adam, if Your wisdom were absent from him, he would be counted as nothing.
7
You chose me to be king of Your People, and judge of Your sons and daughters.
8
You commanded me to build a Temple upon Your holy mountain, and an altar in the city of Your dwelling, a likeness of the holy Tent which You prepared from the beginning.
9
And with You is wisdom, who knows Your works and was present when You made the world. She understands what is pleasing in Your eyes and what is upright according to Your commandments.
10
Send her out from the holy heavens, and from the Throne of Your Glory send her, that being present with me she may labor beside me, and that I may know what is pleasing to You.
11
For she knows and understands all things, and she shall guide me wisely in my works and guard me by her glory.
12
Then my works shall be acceptable, and I shall judge Your People with Righteousness, and I shall be worthy of the Throne of my father.
13
For what Adam can know the counsel of Elohim? Or who can discern what Yahuah wills?
14
For the thoughts of mortal Adam are uncertain, and our counsels are unstable.
15
For a corruptible body weighs down the being, and the earthly tent burdens the mind full of thoughts.
16
We can scarcely discern the things upon the earth, and what is before our hands we find with labor. But the things in the heavens— who has searched them out?
17
And who has known Your counsel, unless You gave wisdom and sent Your holy Ruach from on high?
18
Thus the paths of those upon the earth were made straight, and Adam was taught the things pleasing to You, and through wisdom they were saved.
