1
And this is the blessing with which Mosheh, the ish of Elohim, blessed the sons of Yisra’el before his death.
2
And he said: “Yahuah came from Sinai, and rose from Seir for them; He shone forth from Mount Paran, and came from the myriads of holiness; from His right hand came a fiery Torah for them.
3
Surely He loves the peoples; all His holy ones are in Your hand. And they sit down at Your feet; each receives from Your words.
4
Mosheh commanded us a Torah, an inheritance for the assembly of Yaaqov.
5
And He became King in Yeshurun, when the heads of the people were gathered, together with the tribes of Yisra’el.
6
Let Reuven live and not die, and let his men not be few.”
7
And this concerning Yehudah. And he said: “Hear, Yahuah, the voice of Yehudah, and bring him to his people. With his hands he contends for himself; and may You be a help against his adversaries.”
8
And concerning Levi he said: “Your Tummim and Your Urim belong to Your faithful ish, whom You tested at Massah, with whom You contended at the waters of Merivah;
9
who said of his father and his mother, ‘I have not seen him,’ and did not recognize his brothers, and did not acknowledge his sons. For they guarded Your word and kept Your covenant.
10
They shall teach Your judgments to Yaaqov and Your Torah to Yisra’el. They shall place incense before Your face and a whole ascending offering upon Your altar.
11
Bless, Yahuah, his strength, and accept the work of his hands. Crush the loins of those who rise against him and of those who hate him, so that they rise no more.”
12
Concerning Binyamin he said: “Beloved of Yahuah, he shall dwell securely beside Him. He covers him all the day, and between His shoulders he dwells.”
13
And concerning Yosef he said: “Blessed by Yahuah is his land, with the choice things of the heavens, with dew, and with the deep lying beneath;
14
with the choice produce of the sun, and with the choice yield of the moons;
15
with the finest from the ancient mountains, and with the choice things of the everlasting hills;
16
with the choice things of the earth and its fullness, and the favor of the One who dwelt in the bush. Let it come upon the head of Yosef, and upon the crown of the one separated from his brothers.
17
His firstborn bull has majesty, and his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he shall gore the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth. These are the myriads of Efrayim, and these are the thousands of Menasheh.”
18
And concerning Zevulun he said: “Rejoice, Zevulun, in your going out, and Yissakhar, in your tents.
19
Peoples they shall call to the mountain; there they shall sacrifice sacrifices of righteousness. For they shall suck the abundance of the seas and the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20
And concerning Gad he said: “Blessed is the One who enlarges Gad. Like a lioness he dwells and tears arm and crown.
21
And he saw the first portion for himself, for there the portion of the lawgiver was reserved. And he came with the heads of the people; the righteousness of Yahuah he did, and His judgments with Yisra’el.”
22
And concerning Dan he said: “Dan is a lion’s cub; he leaps forth from Bashan.”
23
And concerning Naftali he said: “Naftali, satisfied with favor and full of the blessing of Yahuah, possess the sea and the south.”
24
And concerning Asher he said: “Blessed above sons is Asher; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25
Iron and bronze shall be your bars, and as your days, so shall your strength be.
26
There is none like El of Yeshurun, riding through the heavens as your help, and through the clouds in His majesty.
27
The Elohim of ancient time is your refuge, and beneath are everlasting arms. And He drove out the enemy from before your face and said, ‘Destroy.’
28
And Yisra’el dwells securely, the fountain of Yaaqov alone, in a land of grain and new wine; even his heavens drip dew.
29
Blessed are you, Yisra’el! Who is like you, a people saved by Yahuah, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty? And your enemies shall submit themselves to you, and you shall tread upon their high places.”
