1
And they brought the Ark of Elohim and set it within the Tent that Daviyd had stretched out for it. And they brought ascending-offerings and peace-offerings before Elohim.
2
When Daviyd finished bringing the ascending-offering and peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the Name of Yahuah.
3
And he distributed to every ish of Yisra’el, from ish to ishah, to each one a round loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a raisin-cake.
4
He appointed from the Leviyim ministers before the Ark of Yahuah, to invoke, to give thanks, and to praise Yahuah Elohim of Yisra’el:
5
Asaf the head, and second to him Zekharyah; Yei’el, Shemiramot, Yechi’el, Mattityah, Eliav, Benayahu, Oved-Edom, and Yei’el, with instruments of harps and lyres; and Asaf sounded the cymbals.
6
Benayahu and Yachazi’el the Kohenim were continually with trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant of Elohim.
7
On that day Daviyd first gave this thanksgiving to Yahuah by the hand of Asaf and his brothers:
8
Give thanks to Yahuah; call upon His Name. Make His deeds known among the peoples.
9
Sing to Him; make melody to Him. Speak of all His wonders.
10
Boast in His Set-Apart Name. Let the heart of those seeking Yahuah rejoice.
11
Seek Yahuah and His strength; seek His face continually.
12
Remember His wonders that He has done, His signs and the judgments of His mouth,
13
seed of Yisra’el His servant, sons of Yaaqov His chosen ones.
14
He is Yahuah our Elohim; His judgments are in all the earth.
15
Remember His Covenant forever, the Word He commanded for a thousand generations,
16
which He cut with Avraham, and His oath to Yitzchaq.
17
He established it for Yaaqov as a statute, for Yisra’el as an everlasting Covenant,
18
saying, “To you I shall give the land of Kena’an, the measured portion of your inheritance,”
19
when you were few in number, very few and sojourners in it.
20
They walked about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
21
He allowed no ish to oppress them; He rebuked kings for their sake:
22
“Do not touch My anointed ones, and do no evil to My prophets.”
23
Sing to Yahuah, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
24
Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
25
For great is Yahuah and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all elohim.
26
For all the elohim of the peoples are idols, but Yahuah made the heavens.
27
Splendor and majesty are before His face; strength and gladness are in His Place.
28
Give to Yahuah, families of peoples; give to Yahuah glory and strength.
29
Give to Yahuah the glory of His Name. Lift an offering and come before His face. Bow yourselves to Yahuah in the majesty of set-apartness.
30
Tremble before His face, all the earth. Indeed, the world is established; it shall not be shaken.
31
Let the heavens rejoice and the earth exult; and let them say among the nations, “Yahuah reigns.”
32
Let the sea thunder and all that fills it; let the field rejoice and all that is in it.
33
Then the trees of the forest shall sing before the face of Yahuah, for He comes to judge the earth.
34
Give thanks to Yahuah, for He is good; for His covenant-faithfulness is everlasting.
35
And say, “Save us, Elohim of our salvation. Gather us and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to Your Set-Apart Name and to glory in Your praise.”
36
Blessed is Yahuah Elohim of Yisra’el, from everlasting and to everlasting. And all the people said, “Amen,” and praised Yahuah.
37
Daviyd left Asaf and his brothers there before the Ark of the Covenant of Yahuah, to minister continually before the Ark, according to each day’s matter;
38
and Oved-Edom with their sixty-eight brothers; Oved-Edom son of Yedutun and Chosah as gatekeepers.
39
Tzadoq the kohen and his brothers the Kohenim were before the Dwelling Place of Yahuah at the high place in Givon,
40
to bring ascending-offerings to Yahuah upon the altar of ascending-offering continually, morning and evening, according to all written in the Torah of Yahuah that He commanded upon Yisra’el.
41
With them were Heyman, Yedutun, and the remainder of the chosen ones designated by names, to give thanks to Yahuah, for His covenant-faithfulness is everlasting.
42
With them Heyman and Yedutun had trumpets and cymbals for sounding, and instruments for the songs of Elohim; and the sons of Yedutun were at the gate.
43
Then all the people went, each ish to his house, and Daviyd turned around to bless his House.
