Daviyd and the commanders of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaf, Heman, and Yedutun, who prophesied with lyres, harps, and cymbals. The number of the men of work for their service was:

of the sons of Asaf: Zakkur, Yosef, Netanyahu, and Asarelah, sons of Asaf, under the hand of Asaf, who prophesied under the hands of the king.

Of Yedutun: the sons of Yedutun—Gedalyahu, Tzeri, Yeshayahu, Chashavyahu, and Mattityahu, six, under the hand of their father Yedutun, who prophesied with the lyre, giving thanks and praise to Yahuah.

Of Heman: the sons of Heman—Buqqiyahu, Mattanyahu, Uzziel, Shevuel, Yerimot, Chananyahu, Chanani, Eliatah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Yoshbeqashah, Malloti, Hotir, and Machaziot.

All these were sons of Heman, the king’s seer in the words of the Elohim, to raise the horn. The Elohim gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the House of Yahuah, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the House of the Elohim, under the hands of the king—Asaf, Yedutun, and Heman.

Their number, with their brothers trained in song to Yahuah, everyone having understanding, was two hundred eighty-eight.

They cast lots for the charge, small corresponding to great, one having understanding with a learner.

The first lot for Asaf came out for Yosef; the second for Gedalyahu—he, his brothers, and his sons, twelve;

the third, Zakkur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the fourth, Yitzri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the fifth, Netanyahu, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the sixth, Buqqiyahu, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the seventh, Yesarelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the eighth, Yeshayahu, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the ninth, Mattanyahu, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the tenth, Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

the eleventh, Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;
