1
Therefore I, the prisoner in the Master, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
3
being diligent to guard the unity of Ruach in the bond of shalom.
4
There is one body and one Ruach, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling,
5
one Master, one trust, one immersion,
6
one Elohim and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
7
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of the Anointed.
8
Therefore it says: “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to Adam.”
9
Now this: “He ascended”— what does it mean except that he also descended into the lower regions of the earth?
10
The one who descended is the same one who also ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.
11
And he gave some as emissaries, some as prophets, some as proclaimers of the Besorah, and some as shepherds and teachers,
12
for the equipping of the set-apart ones for the work of service, for the building of the body of the Anointed,
13
until we all come to the unity of the trust and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to mature Adam, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Anointed,
14
so that we may no longer be children, tossed by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching, through the trickery of Adam, through craftiness toward the scheming of error,
15
but speaking truth in love, we may grow in all things into him who is the head— the Anointed—
16
from whom the whole body, being joined together and held together through every supporting joint, according to the working in measure of each individual part, produces the growth of the body for the building of itself in love.
17
Therefore this I say and testify in the Master: that you no longer walk as the nations also walk, in the emptiness of their mind,
18
being darkened in understanding, alienated from the life of Elohim because of the ignorance within them, because of the hardness of their heart,
19
who, having become without sensitivity, gave themselves over to sensual excess, toward the working of every uncleanness with greed.
20
But you did not learn the Anointed in this way,
21
if indeed you heard him and were taught in him, just as truth is in Yahushua:
22
that you put away, according to the former conduct, the old Adam, which is being corrupted according to deceptive desires,
23
and be renewed in the ruach of your mind,
24
and put on the renewed Adam, created according to Elohim in righteousness and set-apartness of truth.
25
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members of one another.
26
Be angry and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your anger,
27
and do not give a place to the adversary.
28
Let the one who steals steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working what is good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one having need.
29
Let no corrupt word go out from your mouth, but only what is good for necessary building, so that it may give grace to those hearing.
30
And do not grieve the Holy Ruach of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31
Let all bitterness, and rage, and anger, and shouting, and slander be removed from you, together with all malice.
32
And become kind toward one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as Elohim in the Anointed forgave you.
