1
Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and request to Elohim concerning them is for deliverance.
2
For I bear them witness that they have zeal for Elohim, but not according to accurate knowledge.
3
For, being ignorant of Elohim’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to Elohim’s righteousness.
4
For the Mashiyach is the goal of Torah for righteousness to everyone who trusts.
5
For Mosheh writes concerning the righteousness from Torah: “The human being who does these things will live by them.”
6
But the righteousness from faithfulness speaks this way: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”—that is, to bring the Mashiyach down—
7
“or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”—that is, to bring the Mashiyach up from the dead.
8
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faithfulness that we proclaim:
9
because if you confess with your mouth that Yahushua is Master and trust in your heart that Elohim raised him from the dead, you will be delivered.
10
For with the heart one trusts into righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses into deliverance.
11
For the writing says: “Everyone trusting upon him will not be put to shame.”
12
For there is no distinction between Yehudi and Hellene, for the same Master is over all and is rich toward all who call upon him.
13
For “everyone who calls upon Yahuah’s name will be delivered.”
14
How, then, will they call upon one in whom they did not trust? And how will they trust one of whom they did not hear? And how will they hear without one proclaiming?
15
And how will they proclaim unless they are sent? As it is written: “How timely are the feet of those announcing good things.”
16
But not all obeyed the good message. For Yeshayahu says: “Yahuah, who trusted what we heard?”
17
Therefore faithfulness comes from hearing, and hearing through the Mashiyach’s word.
18
But I say: did they not hear? Indeed they did: “Their voice went out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited world.”
19
But I say: did Yis’rael not know? First Mosheh says: “I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation; by an undiscerning nation I will provoke you to anger.”
20
And Yeshayahu becomes bold and says: “I was found by those not seeking me; I became manifest to those not asking for me.”
21
But concerning Yis’rael he says: “All day long I stretched out my hands toward a disobedient and contradicting people.”
