1
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, through Elohim’s mercies, to present your bodies as a living slaughter-offering, set apart and acceptable to Elohim—your reasoned service.
2
Do not be shaped by this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may test what Elohim’s will is: what is good, acceptable, and complete.
3
For through the favor given to me, I say to everyone among you not to think beyond what one ought to think, but to think with sound judgment, as Elohim distributed a measure of faithfulness to each.
4
For just as in one body we have many members, but all the members do not have the same function,
5
so we, the many, are one body in the Mashiyach and individually members of one another.
6
Having different gifts according to the favor given to us: if prophecy, let it operate according to the proportion of faithfulness;
7
if service, in serving; the one teaching, in teaching;
8
the one exhorting, in exhortation; the one sharing, with sincerity; the one leading, with diligence; the one showing mercy, with gladness.
9
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor evil; cling to good.
10
In family affection toward one another, be tenderly loving; in honor, lead the way in valuing one another.
11
Do not be sluggish in diligence. Be burning in spirit. Serve the Master.
12
Rejoice in hope. Endure pressure. Persist in prayer.
13
Share in the needs of the set-apart ones. Pursue hospitality.
14
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15
Rejoice with those rejoicing; weep with those weeping.
16
Think the same thing toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the lowly. Do not become wise in your own sight.
17
Repay no one evil for evil. Take thought for what is honorable before all people.
18
If possible, as far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.
19
Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath, for it is written: “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says Yahuah.”
20
Instead, “If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink. For by doing this you will heap coals of fire upon his head.”
21
Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.
