1
And it came to pass in Ikonion that they entered together into the synagogue of the Yehudim and spoke in such a way that a great multitude both of Yehudim and Greeks trusted.
2
But the Yehudim who were disobedient stirred up the beings of the nations and embittered them against the brothers.
3
Therefore they remained there a long time, speaking boldly in Yahuah, who testified to the Word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done through their hands.
4
But the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Yehudim, and some with the emissaries.
5
And when an assault was being prepared by those of the nations and Yehudim, together with their rulers, to mistreat and stone them,
6
they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lykaonia— Lystra and Derbe— and the surrounding region.
7
And there they continued proclaiming the Besorah.
8
And in Lystra a certain ish was sitting, without strength in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.
9
This one heard Paulos speaking. And Paulos, looking intently at him and seeing that he had trust to be restored,
10
said with a great voice: “Stand upright upon your feet.” And he leaped and began walking.
11
And when the crowds saw what Paulos had done, they lifted up their voices in the Lykaonian tongue, saying: “The elohim have come down to us in the likeness of Adam.”
12
And they called Bar-Nabba Zeus, and Paulos Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.
13
And the kohen of Zeus, whose temple was before the city, brought bulls and garlands to the gates and desired with the crowds to sacrifice.
14
But when the emissaries, Bar-Nabba and Paulos, heard this, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out
15
and saying: “Ishim, why are you doing these things? We also are Adam of the same nature as you, proclaiming the Besorah to you so that you turn from these empty things toward the living Elohim, who made the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and all that is in them.
16
In generations that passed, He permitted all the nations to walk in their own ways.
17
Yet He did not leave Himself without witness, doing good, giving you rains from the heavens and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness.”
18
And even saying these things, with difficulty they restrained the crowds from sacrificing to them.
19
But Yehudim came from Antioch and Ikonion, and having persuaded the crowds, they stoned Paulos and dragged him outside the city, supposing him to be dead.
20
But while the talmidim stood around him, he rose and entered the city. And on the next day he went out with Bar-Nabba toward Derbe.
21
And having proclaimed the Besorah to that city and made many talmidim, they returned to Lystra, and Ikonion, and Antioch,
22
strengthening the beings of the talmidim, encouraging them to remain in the trust, and saying: “Through many afflictions we must enter the Kingdom of Elohim.”
23
And having appointed elders for them in every assembly, and having prayed with fasting, they entrusted them to Yahuah, in whom they had trusted.
24
And passing through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25
And having spoken the Word in Perga, they went down to Attaleia.
26
And from there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had been entrusted to the grace of Elohim for the work which they had completed.
27
And when they came and gathered the assembly, they reported all things which Elohim had done with them, and that He had opened to the nations a door of trust.
28
And they remained no little time with the talmidim.
