1
After these things, he departed from Athens and came to Corinth.
2
And finding a certain Yehudi named Aquila, a native of Pontos, recently come from Italia with Prisqilla his ishah, because Claudius had commanded all Yehudim to depart from Rome, he went to them.
3
And because he was of the same trade, he remained with them and worked, for by trade they were tentmakers.
4
And he reasoned in the synagogue every Shabbat and persuaded both Yehudim and Greeks.
5
And when Silas and Timotheos came down from Macedonia, Paulos was wholly occupied with the Word, testifying to the Yehudim that Yahushua is the Anointed.
6
But when they opposed and reviled, he shook his garments and said to them: “Your blood be upon your own heads. I am clean. From now on I shall go to the nations.”
7
And departing from there, he entered the house of a certain ish named Titos Justos, one reverencing Elohim, whose house was next to the synagogue.
8
And Krispos, the ruler of the synagogue, trusted in the Master with all his household. And many of the Qorinthiym, hearing, trusted and were immersed.
9
And the Master said through a vision in the night to Paulos: “Do not fear, but speak, and do not be silent,
10
because I am with you, and no one shall lay hands upon you to harm you, because I have many people in this city.”
11
And he remained a year and six months, teaching among them the Word of Elohim.
12
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Yehudim rose with one accord against Paulos and brought him before the judgment seat,
13
saying: “This one persuades Adam to worship Elohim contrary to the Torah.”
14
But as Paulos was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Yehudim: “If indeed there were some wrongdoing or wicked crime, O Yehudim, it would be reasonable for me to bear with you.
15
But if these are questions concerning words, and names, and your own Torah, see to it yourselves. I do not desire to be a judge of these things.”
16
And he drove them away from the judgment seat.
17
And they all seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio paid no attention to these things.
18
But Paulos, remaining many days longer, took leave of the brothers and sailed toward Syria, and with him Prisqilla and Aquila, having shorn his head in Kenchreai, for he had a vow.
19
And they came to Ephesos, and he left them there. But he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Yehudim.
20
And when they asked him to remain for a longer time, he did not consent,
21
but taking leave, he said: “I shall return to you again if Elohim wills.” And he sailed from Ephesos.
22
And landing at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the assembly, and went down to Antioch.
23
And after spending some time, he departed, passing successively through the Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the talmidim.
24
Now a certain Yehudi named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent ish, mighty in the writings, came to Ephesos.
25
This one had been instructed in the Way of the Master, and being fervent in ruach, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Yahushua, though knowing only the immersion of Yochanan.
26
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But Prisqilla and Aquila, hearing him, took him aside and explained to him the Way of Elohim more precisely.
27
And when he desired to cross into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the talmidim to receive him. And having arrived, he greatly helped those who had trusted through grace.
28
For powerfully and publicly he refuted the Yehudim, demonstrating through the writings that Yahushua is the Anointed.
