1
And the queen of Sheva heard of the fame of Shəlomah concerning the Name of Yahuah, and she came to test him with difficult questions.
2
And she came to Yerushalayim with an exceedingly great company, with camels bearing spices, and exceedingly much gold, and precious stones. And she came to Shəlomah and spoke with him concerning all that was in her heart.
3
And Shəlomah declared to her all her matters. There was not a matter hidden from the king that he did not declare to her.
4
And the queen of Sheva saw all the Wisdom of Shəlomah, and the House that he had built,
5
and the food of his table, and the seating of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their garments, and his cupbearers, and his ascending offering by which he went up to the House of Yahuah. And there was no more ruach in her.
6
And she said to the king: “The word was truth that I heard in my own land concerning your words and concerning your wisdom.
7
But I did not believe the words until I came and my eyes saw. And see, not even half was declared to me. You have exceeded in wisdom and good the report that I heard.
8
Blessed are your men; blessed are these your servants who stand continually before your face and hear your wisdom.
9
Blessed be Yahuah your Elohim, who delighted in you, to set you upon the Throne of Yisra’el. Because Yahuah loved Yisra’el forever, He set you as king to do Judgment and Righteousness.”
10
And she gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and exceedingly many spices, and precious stones. Never again came such abundance of spices as those that the queen of Sheva gave to King Shəlomah.
11
And also the fleet of Chiram, which carried gold from Ofir, brought from Ofir exceedingly much almug wood and precious stones.
12
And the king made from the almug wood supports for the House of Yahuah and for the house of the king, and lyres and harps for the singers. No such almug wood came again, nor was it seen, to this day.
13
And King Shəlomah gave to the queen of Sheva all her desire, whatever she asked, besides what Shəlomah gave her according to the hand of King Shəlomah. And she turned and went to her land, she and her servants.
14
And the weight of the gold that came to Shəlomah in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
15
besides that from the traveling merchants, and from the trade of the traders, and from all the kings of the mixed peoples, and from the governors of the land.
16
And King Shəlomah made two hundred large shields of beaten gold; six hundred sheqels of gold went upon each shield.
17
And three hundred small shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went upon each shield. And the king placed them in the House of the Forest of Levanon.
18
And the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with refined gold.
19
The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was rounded behind it. And there were arms on each side of the place of sitting, and two lions stood beside the arms.
20
And twelve lions stood there upon the six steps, on this side and on that side. Nothing like it had been made for any kingdom.
21
And all the drinking vessels of King Shəlomah were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Levanon were of pure gold. There was none of silver; it was counted as nothing in the days of Shəlomah.
22
For the king had a fleet of Tarshish at sea with the fleet of Chiram. Once in three years the fleet of Tarshish came, carrying gold and silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
23
And King Shəlomah became greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in Wisdom.
24
And all the earth sought the face of Shəlomah to hear his Wisdom, which Elohim had put in his heart.
25
And each ish brought his gift: vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and weapons, and spices, horses, and mules—a matter of year by year.
26
And Shəlomah gathered chariots and horsemen. And he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Yerushalayim.
27
And the king caused silver in Yerushalayim to be as stones, and cedar he caused to be as abundant as the sycamore trees that are in the Shefelah.
28
And the export of horses that belonged to Shəlomah was from Mitzrayim and from Qeve; the merchants of the king took them from Qeve at a price.
29
And a chariot came up and went out from Mitzrayim for six hundred sheqels of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty. And thus, by their hand, they brought them out to all the kings of the Chitti and to the kings of Aram.
