1
Paulos, called to be an emissary of Yahushua the Anointed through the will of Elohim, and Sosthenes our brother,
2
to the assembly of Elohim that is in Corinth, to those set apart in Yahushua the Anointed, called as set-apart ones, together with all who call upon the Name of our Master Yahushua the Anointed in every place— their Master and ours:
3
Grace to you and shalom from Elohim our Father and the Master Yahushua the Anointed.
4
I give thanks to my Elohim always concerning you, because of the grace of Elohim which was given to you in Yahushua the Anointed,
5
because in him you were enriched in everything— in all speech and all knowledge—
6
just as the testimony concerning the Anointed was established among you,
7
so that you are lacking in no gift while eagerly awaiting the revealing of our Master Yahushua the Anointed,
8
who shall also establish you until the end, blameless in the day of our Master Yahushua the Anointed.
9
Elohim is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Yahushua the Anointed, our Master.
10
Now I urge you, brothers, through the Name of our Master Yahushua the Anointed, that all of you speak in agreement, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11
For it has been made known to me concerning you, my brothers, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are disputes among you.
12
And this is what I mean: each of you says, “I am of Paulos,” or, “I am of Apollos,” or, “I am of Kepha,” or, “I am of the Anointed.”
13
Has the Anointed been divided? Was Paulos executed upon a stake for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paulos?
14
I give thanks that I immersed none of you except Krispos and Gaios,
15
so that no one may say that you were immersed into my name.
16
And I also immersed the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I immersed anyone else.
17
For the Anointed did not send me to immerse, but to proclaim the Besorah— not with wisdom of elaborate speech, lest the execution stake of the Anointed be emptied of its force.
18
For the word of the execution stake is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being delivered it is the power of Elohim.
19
For it is written: “I shall destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the understanding of the understanding ones I shall set aside.”
20
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not Elohim made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21
For since, in the wisdom of Elohim, the world through its wisdom did not know Elohim, Elohim was pleased through the foolishness of the proclamation to deliver those who trust.
22
For Yehudim ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom,
23
but we proclaim the Anointed executed upon a stake— to Yehudim a stumbling block, and to the nations foolishness,
24
but to those who are called— both Yehudim and Greeks— the Anointed, the power of Elohim and the wisdom of Elohim.
25
For the foolishness of Elohim is wiser than Adam, and the weakness of Elohim is stronger than Adam.
26
For consider your calling, brothers: not many were wise according to flesh, not many powerful, not many of noble birth.
27
But Elohim chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and Elohim chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28
And Elohim chose the lowly things of the world, and the despised, and the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
29
so that no flesh may boast before Elohim.
30
But from Him you are in Yahushua the Anointed, who became for us wisdom from Elohim, and righteousness, and set-apartness, and redemption,
31
so that, just as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in Yahuah.”
