1
Paulos, an emissary of Yahushua the Anointed through the will of Elohim, and Timotheos our brother, to the assembly of Elohim that is in Corinth, together with all the set-apart ones who are throughout Achaia:
2
Grace to you and shalom from Elohim our Father and the Master Yahushua the Anointed.
3
Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master Yahushua the Anointed, the Father of compassion and Elohim of all comfort,
4
who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those in every affliction through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by Elohim.
5
For just as the sufferings of the Anointed overflow toward us, so also through the Anointed our comfort overflows.
6
But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and deliverance. And whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which works in endurance of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
7
And our hope concerning you is firm, knowing that just as you are sharers in the sufferings, so also you are sharers in the comfort.
8
For we do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning the affliction that came upon us in Asia— that we were burdened beyond measure, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.
9
Indeed, we ourselves had within ourselves the sentence of death, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in Elohim who raises the dead,
10
who delivered us from so great a death and delivers us, in whom we have hoped that He shall yet deliver us,
11
while you also help together through petition on our behalf, so that from many faces thanks may be given concerning us for the gift given to us through many.
12
For this is our boasting: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and sincerity from Elohim, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of Elohim, we conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.
13
For we write nothing else to you than what you read and understand, and I hope you shall understand to the end,
14
just as you also understood us in part— that we are your reason for boasting, just as you are ours in the day of our Master Yahushua.
15
And in this confidence I intended to come to you first, so that you might have a second grace,
16
and through you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and by you to be sent forward toward Yehudah.
17
Therefore, when I intended this, did I act lightly? Or the things I purpose, do I purpose according to flesh, so that with me there might be “Yes, yes” and “No, no” at the same time?
18
But Elohim is faithful: our word toward you was not both yes and no.
19
For the Son of Elohim, Yahushua the Anointed, who was proclaimed among you through us— through me, Silvanos, and Timotheos— did not become yes and no, but in him has become yes.
20
For however many the promises of Elohim are, in him is the yes. Therefore also through him is the Amein to Elohim for glory through us.
21
Now the One who establishes us with you in the Anointed and who anointed us is Elohim,
22
who also sealed us and gave the pledge of Ruach in our hearts.
23
But I call Elohim as witness upon my being, that to spare you I did not yet come to Corinth.
24
Not that we rule over your trust, but we are fellow workers for your joy, for by trust you stand.
