Hear this Word that Yahuah has spoken against you, sons of Yisra’el, against the whole family that I brought up from the land of Mitzrayim, saying:

“You only have I known from all the families of the earth. Therefore I will visit upon you all your crookednesses.

Can two walk together unless they have agreed?
4
Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion give his voice from his den unless he has taken something?
5
Does a bird fall into a snare upon the earth when there is no trap for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground when it has taken nothing?

If a shofar is blown in a city, will the people not tremble? If evil comes upon a city, has Yahuah not done it?

For Adonai Yahuah does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

The lion has roared— who will not fear? Adonai Yahuah has spoken— who can but prophesy?

Proclaim upon the strongholds in Ashdod, and upon the strongholds in the land of Mitzrayim, and say: ‘Gather yourselves upon the mountains of Shomron, and see the great tumults within her, and the oppressions in her midst.’

For they do not know how to do what is straight,” declares Yahuah, “those who store up violence and plunder in their strongholds.”

Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: “An adversary shall surround the land, and he shall bring down your strength from you, and your strongholds shall be plundered.”

Thus says Yahuah: “As the shepherd rescues from the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the sons of Yisra’el be rescued who dwell in Shomron, in the corner of a bed and in the edge of a couch.”

“Hear, and testify against the House of Yaaqov,” declares Adonai Yahuah, Elohim of Hosts.

“For in the day I visit the transgressions of Yisra’el upon him, I will also visit the altars of Beit-El. And the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground.
15
And I will strike the winter house with the summer house, and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall come to an end,” declares Yahuah.
