1
Do not be jealous of the ishah of your bosom, and do not teach her an evil lesson against yourself.
2
Do not give your being to an ishah so that she treads upon your strength.
3
Do not meet an ishah given to prostitution, lest you fall into her snares.
4
Do not remain continually with a singing woman, lest you be captured by her devices.
5
Do not stare upon a virgin, lest you stumble through what is required concerning her.
6
Do not give your being to prostitutes, lest you destroy your inheritance.
7
Do not gaze around in the streets of a city, and do not wander through its deserted places.
8
Turn your eye from a beautifully formed ishah, and do not stare upon beauty belonging to another. Through the beauty of an ishah many have wandered, and from it desire burns like fire.
9
Do not sit at all with a married ishah, and do not feast with her over wine, lest your being incline toward her and by your ruach you slip into destruction.
10
Do not abandon an ancient companion, for a new one is not equal to him. A new companion is new wine; when it grows old, you shall drink it with gladness.
11
Do not envy the honor of a sinner, for you do not know what his overthrow shall be.
12
Do not delight in the delight of the profane; remember that they shall not be declared righteous even unto Sheol.
13
Keep far from an Adam who possesses authority to kill, and you shall not be troubled by fear of death. If you approach him, do not offend, lest he remove your life. Know that you pass among snares and walk upon the battlements of a city.
14
According to your strength, discern those near you, and take counsel with the wise.
15
Let your reasoning be with those of understanding, and let all your discourse concern the Torah of El Elyon.
16
Let righteous men share your table, and let your boasting be in the fear of Yahuah.
17
A work is praised by the hand of its artisans, and a leader of the people by the wisdom of his word.
18
An ish excessive in speech is feared in his city, and one reckless in his word shall be hated.
