1
But the one who gives his being and considers the Torah of El Elyon seeks out the Wisdom of all the ancients and is occupied with prophecies.
2
He preserves the discourse of renowned men and enters into the turns of proverbs.
3
He searches out the hidden meanings of proverbs and dwells among the riddles of parables.
4
He ministers among great ones and appears before rulers. He travels through the land of foreign nations, having tested good and evil among sons of Adam.
5
He gives his heart to rising early toward Yahuah who made him and makes supplication before El Elyon. He opens his mouth in prayer and makes supplication concerning his sins.
6
If the great Yahuah desires, he shall be filled with a ruach of understanding. He pours forth words of his Wisdom and gives thanks to Yahuah in prayer.
7
He directs his counsel and knowledge and considers His hidden things.
8
He makes the instruction of his teaching manifest and boasts in the Torah of the Covenant of Yahuah.
9
Many shall praise his understanding, and unto the age it shall not be wiped away. His remembrance shall not depart, and his name shall live for generations of generations.
10
Nations shall recount his Wisdom, and the assembly shall declare his praise.
11
If he remains, he leaves a name greater than a thousand; and if he rests, it is sufficient for him.
12
Having considered further, I shall recount; I am filled like the moon at its fullness.
13
Hear me, set-apart sons, and blossom like a rose growing beside a flowing stream.
14
Give forth fragrance like frankincense, and blossom like a lily. Spread fragrance and sing a song; bless Yahuah for all His works.
15
Give greatness to His Name and render thanksgiving in His praise, with songs of the lips and with lyres. Thus you shall say in thanksgiving:
16
“All the works of Yahuah are exceedingly good, and every command comes in its appointed time. One cannot say, ‘What is this? Why is this?’ For everything shall be sought in its appointed time.”
17
By His Word water stood like a heap, and by the saying of His Mouth, reservoirs of water.
18
Within His command is all His delight, and none can diminish His salvation.
19
The works of all flesh are before Him, and none can hide from His eyes.
20
From age to age He beholds, and nothing is wondrous before Him.
21
One cannot say, “What is this? Why is this?” For all things were created for their uses.
22
His blessing covered like a river and drenched dry land like a flood.
23
So the nations inherit His wrath, as He turned waters into salt.
24
His Ways are straight for the reverent, but stumbling-blocks for the lawless.
25
Good things were created from the beginning for the good, and so evil things for sinners.
26
The first necessities for the life of Adam are water, fire, iron, salt, fine wheat flour, milk and honey, blood of the grape, oil, and clothing.
27
All these become good things for the reverent, but for sinners they are turned into evils.
28
There are ruachim created for vengeance, and in His wrath He strengthens their lashes. At the appointed time of completion they pour out strength and calm the wrath of the One who made them.
29
Fire and hail and famine and death— all these were created for vengeance.
30
Teeth of wild creatures, scorpions, vipers, and an avenging sword are for the destruction of the profane.
31
They rejoice in His Command, are prepared upon the earth for their uses, and in their appointed times do not transgress His Word.
32
Therefore from the beginning I was established, and I considered and left it in writing:
33
all the works of Yahuah are good, and He supplies every need in its hour.
34
One cannot say, “This is more evil than that,” for every thing is approved in its appointed time.
35
Now, with all heart and mouth, sing praise and bless the Name of Yahuah.
