1
Mighty in war was Yahushua son of Nun, successor to Mosheh in prophecy. According to his name he became great for the salvation of His chosen ones, taking vengeance upon enemies who rose up so that he might give Yisra’el its inheritance.
2
How he received splendor when he raised his hands and stretched out the sword against cities.
3
Who before him stood so firmly? For he led the wars of Yahuah.
4
Was not the sun restrained by his hand, and one day became as two?
5
He called upon El Elyon, the Mighty One, when enemies pressed him on every side; and great Yahuah heard him with stones of hail of mighty power.
6
He crashed down upon a nation in war and destroyed those opposing him on the descent, that the nations might know his full armor and that his war was before Yahuah.
7
For he followed after the Mighty One. In the days of Mosheh, he and Kalev son of Yefunneh worked compassion: they stood against the assembly, restrained the people from sin, and quieted evil murmuring.
8
These two alone were delivered from six hundred thousand footmen to bring them into their inheritance, into a land flowing with milk and honey.
9
Yahuah gave strength to Kalev, and it remained with him unto old age, so that he ascended the height of the land and his seed possessed it as an inheritance,
10
that all the sons of Yisra’el might see that it is good to walk after Yahuah.
11
And the judges, each according to his name— all whose hearts did not commit sexual corruption and who did not turn away from Yahuah— may their remembrance be within blessings.
12
May their bones blossom again from their place, and may their renowned name be renewed upon their sons.
13
Shemu’el, beloved by his Yahuah, a prophet of Yahuah, established a kingdom and anointed rulers over His people.
14
By the Torah of Yahuah he judged the assembly, and Yahuah visited Yaaqov.
15
By his trustworthiness he was confirmed as a prophet, and by his words he was known as a trustworthy seer.
16
He called upon Yahuah, the Mighty One, when enemies pressed him on every side, with an offering of a suckling lamb.
17
Yahuah thundered from heaven and made His Voice heard with a great sound.
18
He crushed the rulers of Tzor and all the rulers of the Pelishtim.
19
Before the appointed time of everlasting sleep, he testified before Yahuah and His Anointed: “Silver, even sandals, I have taken from no flesh.” And no Adam accused him.
20
Even after he slept he prophesied, showed the king his completion, and raised his voice from the earth in prophecy to wipe away the lawlessness of the people.
