1
I shall give thanks to You, Yahuah the King, and praise You, Elohim my Savior; I give thanks to Your Name.
2
For You became my shelter and helper. You redeemed my body from destruction, from the snare of a slanderous tongue and from lips working falsehood. Before those standing against me You became my helper and redeemed me,
3
according to the abundance of Your compassion and Your Name, from teeth ready to consume, from the hand of those seeking my being, and from the many distresses I endured;
4
from suffocation by fire surrounding me and from the midst of a fire I had not kindled;
5
from the depth of the belly of Sheol, from an unclean tongue and a false word.
6
Through the slander of an unjust tongue before the king, my being drew near unto death, and my life was near to Sheol below.
7
They surrounded me on every side, and there was no helper. I looked for the support of sons of Adam, but there was none.
8
Then I remembered Your compassion, Yahuah, and Your work from the age: You lift those who wait for You and save them from the hand of enemies.
9
I raised my plea from the earth and made supplication for deliverance from death.
10
I called upon Yahuah, Father of my master, not to abandon me in days of distress, in an appointed time of proud ones when there was no help. “I shall continually praise Your Name and sing with thanksgiving.”
11
My supplication was heard; for You saved me from destruction and delivered me from an evil appointed time.
12
Therefore I shall give thanks to You and praise You, and bless the Name of Yahuah.
13
While still young, before I wandered, I openly sought Wisdom in my prayer.
14
Before the Temple I asked for her, and unto the last things I shall seek her.
15
From her blossom, like a grape ripening, my heart rejoiced in her. My foot stepped in uprightness; from my youth I tracked her.
16
I inclined my ear a little and received her, and found abundant instruction for myself.
17
I advanced through her; to the One who gives me Wisdom I shall give splendor.
18
For I resolved to work her, was zealous for good, and shall not be ashamed.
19
My being struggled for her, and in working Torah I became precise. I stretched my hands toward the height and mourned my errors concerning her.
20
I directed my being toward her and found her through purification. From the beginning I acquired a heart with her; therefore I shall not be abandoned.
21
My inward parts were stirred to seek her; therefore I acquired a good possession.
22
Yahuah gave me a tongue as my reward, and with it I shall praise Him.
23
Draw near to me, you who are uninstructed, and lodge in a house of instruction.
24
Why do you say you are lacking in these things while your beings thirst exceedingly?
25
I opened my mouth and spoke: “Acquire her for yourselves without silver.
26
Place your neck beneath her yoke, and let your being receive instruction. She is near to be found.
27
Behold with your eyes: I labored little and found abundant rest for myself.
28
Partake of instruction at the price of much silver, and through her acquire much gold.
29
May your being rejoice in His compassion, and may you not be ashamed in His praise.
30
Work your work before its appointed time, and He shall give your reward in His appointed time.”
