1
And Queen Ester, being seized with the fear of death, fled to Yahuah.
2
And she removed the garments of her glory and put on garments of distress and mourning. And instead of costly perfumes, she covered her head with ashes and refuse. And she humbled her body greatly, and every place of her joy she covered with the disorder of her hair.
3
And she petitioned Yahuah Elohim of Yisra’el, saying: “My Yahuah, our King, You alone are Elohim. Help me, who am alone and have no helper except You, for danger is in my hand.
4
From my birth I have heard in the tribe of my fathers that You, Yahuah, took Yisra’el from among all the nations and our fathers from all their ancestors as an everlasting Inheritance, and You did for them all that You promised.
5
But now we have sinned before You, and You delivered us into the hands of our enemies,
6
because we honored their mighty ones. You are righteous, Yahuah.
7
Yet now they are not satisfied with the bitterness of our servitude, but they have placed their hands into the hands of their idols
8
to abolish the decree of Your mouth, to destroy Your Inheritance, to shut the mouths of those who praise You, and to extinguish the glory of Your House and Your altar,
9
and to open the mouths of the nations for the praise of worthless mighty ones, and that a mortal king should be magnified forever.
10
Do not surrender Your scepter, Yahuah, to those who do not exist. And do not let them laugh at our fall. But turn their counsel against themselves, and make an example of the one who began this against us.
11
Remember, Yahuah. Make Yourself known in the time of our distress, and give me courage, O King of the mighty ones and Master over every authority.
12
Put an ordered word into my mouth before the lion, and turn his heart toward hatred of the one who fights against us, so that there may be an end to him and to those who agree with him.
13
But deliver us by Your hand, and help me, who am alone and have none except You, Yahuah.
14
You know all things. You know that I hate the glory of the lawless, and abhor the bed of the uncircumcised and of every foreigner.
15
You know my necessity, and that I abhor the sign of my high station which is upon my head in the days when I appear. I abhor it like a garment of menstrual uncleanness, and I do not wear it in the days of my rest.
16
And Your maidservant has not eaten at the table of Haman, nor have I honored the feast of the king, nor drunk the wine of libations.
17
And Your maidservant has not rejoiced from the day I was brought here until now except in You, Yahuah Elohim of Avraham.
18
O Elohim, whose Power is over all, hear the voice of those without hope. Deliver us from the hand of the wicked, and deliver me from my fear.”
