1
And Yahuah answered Iyov and said:
2
“Shall the one contending with Shaddai correct Him? Let the one reproving Eloah answer it.”
3
Then Iyov answered Yahuah and said:
4
“Behold, I am of little account—what shall I return to You? I have placed my hand over my mouth.
5
Once I have spoken, but I shall not answer; twice, but I shall add no more.”
6
Then Yahuah answered Iyov from the storm and said:
7
“Gird your loins now like a mighty one; I shall ask you, and you make known to Me.
8
Would you indeed break My Judgment? Would you declare Me wicked so that you may be righteous?
9
Or do you have an arm like El? Can you thunder with a voice like His?
10
Adorn yourself now with majesty and height, and clothe yourself with splendor and honor.
11
Scatter the outbursts of your anger; behold everyone proud and bring him low.
12
Behold everyone proud and humble him; tread down the wicked in their place.
13
Hide them together in the dust; bind their faces in the hidden place.
14
Then even I shall confess to you that your own right hand saves you.
15
Behold now Behemot, which I made with you; it eats grass like cattle.
16
Behold now, its strength is in its loins, and its might in the muscles of its belly.
17
It bends its tail like a cedar; the sinews of its thighs are interwoven.
18
Its bones are channels of bronze; its frame is like bars of iron.
19
It is the first of the Ways of El; its Maker brings near His sword.
20
For the mountains bear produce for it, and every living creature of the field plays there.
21
It lies beneath the lotus trees, in the covering of reed and marsh.
22
The lotus trees cover it with their shadow; the willows of the wadi surround it.
23
Behold, if a river oppresses, it does not hasten away; it trusts though the Yarden bursts toward its mouth.
24
Can one take it before its eyes, or pierce its nose with snares?
