1
Now gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. A siege has been laid against us. With a rod they strike the judge of Yisra’el upon the cheek.

But you, Beit-Lechem Efratah, though you are small among the thousands of Yehudah, from you shall come forth for Me one who is to rule in Yisra’el, whose goings forth are from ancient days, from days of eternity.
3
Therefore He shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth. Then the remnant of his brothers shall return to the sons of Yisra’el.
4
And he shall stand and shepherd in the strength of Yahuah, in the majesty of the Name of Yahuah his Elohim. And they shall dwell securely, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth.

And this one shall be shalom. When Ashshur comes into our land and when he treads in our palaces, then we shall raise against him seven shepherds and eight rulers of Adam.

And they shall shepherd the land of Ashshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances. And he shall deliver us from Ashshur when he comes into our land and when he treads within our border.
7
And the remnant of Yaaqov shall be in the midst of many peoples like dew from Yahuah, like showers upon the grass, which do not wait for ish nor remain for the sons of Adam.
8
And the remnant of Yaaqov shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which, when it passes through, tramples and tears, and none can deliver.
9
Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.
10
“And it shall be in that day,” declares Yahuah, “that I will cut off your horses from your midst and destroy your chariots.
11
And I will cut off the cities of your land and tear down all your strongholds.
12
And I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no diviners.
13
And I will cut off your carved images and your standing stones from your midst, and you shall no longer bow yourself to the work of your hands.
14
And I will uproot your Asherim from your midst, and I will destroy your cities.
15
And in anger and in wrath I will execute vengeance upon the nations that did not hear.”
