1
Of Daviyd. Yahuah is my Light and my Salvation; whom do I fear? Yahuah is the refuge of my life; of whom am I afraid?
2
When evildoers approach me to eat my flesh— my adversaries and my enemies— they stumble and fall.
3
Though an army encamps against me, my heart does not fear. Though battle rises against me, in this I trust.
4
One thing I have asked from Yahuah; this I seek: to dwell in the House of Yahuah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Yahuah and inquire in His Temple.
5
For in the day of evil He hides me in His shelter; in the concealment of His Tent He hides me; upon a rock He lifts me.
6
And now my head is lifted above my enemies around me. I slaughter in His Tent offerings of joyful shouting; I sing and make melody to Yahuah.
7
Hear, Yahuah, when I call with my voice. Show favor to me and answer me.
8
To You my heart has said, “Seek My face.” Your face, Yahuah, I seek.
9
Do not hide Your face from me. Do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my Help. Do not abandon me or forsake me, Elohim of my Salvation.
10
Though my father and my mother forsake me, Yahuah gathers me.
11
Teach me Your way, Yahuah, and lead me in a level path because of those watching me.
12
Do not give me to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen against me, breathing violence.
13
If I had not trusted to see the goodness of Yahuah in the land of the living—
14
Wait for Yahuah. Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait for Yahuah.
