1
To the Overseer. A melody of Daviyd.
2
In You, Yahuah, I seek refuge; let me never be ashamed. In Your Righteousness rescue me.
3
Incline Your ear to me; quickly deliver me. Be to me a rock of refuge, a fortified House to save me.
4
For You are my Rock and my stronghold; for the sake of Your Name guide me and lead me.
5
Bring me out from the net they hid for me, for You are my Refuge.
6
Into Your hand I commit my ruach. You have redeemed me, Yahuah, El of Truth.
7
I hate those guarding empty vanities; but I trust in Yahuah.
8
I rejoice and am glad in Your covenant-love, for You have seen my affliction; You have known the distresses of my being.
9
You have not shut me in the hand of the enemy; You have made my feet stand in a broad place.
10
Show favor to me, Yahuah, for I am distressed. My eye wastes from grief, my being and my belly.
11
For my life is consumed in sorrow and my years in sighing. My strength fails through my crookedness, and my bones waste away.
12
Because of all my adversaries I have become a reproach, especially to my neighbors, and a dread to those who know me. Those seeing me outside flee from me.
13
I am forgotten from the heart like one dead; I have become like a ruined vessel.
14
For I hear the whispering of many— terror all around— when they take counsel together against me and devise to take my life.
15
But I trust in You, Yahuah. I say, “You are my Elohim.”
16
My times are in Your hand. Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those pursuing me.
17
Make Your face shine upon Your servant; save me in Your covenant-love.
18
Yahuah, do not let me be ashamed, for I have called upon You. Let the wicked be ashamed; let them be silent in Sheol.
19
Let lying lips be silenced, which speak arrogantly against the righteous with pride and contempt.
20
How abundant is Your goodness, which You have stored for those revering You, which You have worked for those seeking refuge in You before the sons of Adam!
21
You hide them in the concealment of Your face from the plots of ish. You shelter them in a booth from the strife of tongues.
22
Blessed is Yahuah, for He has wondrously shown His covenant-love to me in a fortified city.
23
In my haste I said, “I am cut off from before Your eyes.” Yet You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You.
24
Love Yahuah, all His faithful ones! Yahuah guards the trustworthy, but fully repays the one acting proudly.
25
Be strong, and let your heart be courageous, all you who wait for Yahuah.
