1
To the Overseer. Of Daviyd. A melody.
2
Waiting, I waited for Yahuah; He inclined to me and heard my cry.
3
He brought me up from a roaring pit, from miry clay. He set my feet upon a rock and established my steps.
4
He placed a new song in my mouth, praise to our Elohim. Many see and revere, and trust in Yahuah.
5
Blessed is the mighty one who sets Yahuah as his trust, and does not turn to the proud or those turning aside to falsehood.
6
Many are the wonders You have done, Yahuah my Elohim, and Your designs toward us. None can be arranged before You. If I declare and speak them, they are more than can be counted.
7
Slaughtering and grain offering You did not desire; ears You opened for me. Ascending offering and sin offering You did not ask.
8
Then I said, “See, I come. In the scroll of the Sefer it is written concerning me.
9
To do Your desire, my Elohim, I delight, and Your Torah is within my inward parts.”
10
I proclaimed Righteousness in the great assembly. See, I do not restrain my lips; Yahuah, You know.
11
I did not conceal Your Righteousness within my heart. I declared Your Faithfulness and Your Salvation. I did not hide Your covenant-love and Your Truth from the great assembly.
12
You, Yahuah, do not restrain Your compassions from me. Let Your covenant-love and Your Truth continually guard me.
13
For evils beyond number surround me; my crookednesses overtake me so I am unable to see. They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, and my heart has forsaken me.
14
Be pleased, Yahuah, to rescue me. Yahuah, hurry to my help.
15
Let those seeking my life to destroy it be ashamed and confounded together. Let those delighting in my evil turn backward and be humiliated.
16
Let those saying to me, “Aha! Aha!” be desolate because of their shame.
17
Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You. Let those loving Your Salvation continually say, “Yahuah is great!”
18
But I am afflicted and needy; Adonai thinks upon me. You are my Help and my Rescuer. My Elohim, do not delay.
