1
To the Overseer. Of Daviyd. A melody. A song.
2
Elohim arises; His enemies scatter, and those hating Him flee from before His face.
3
As smoke is driven, You drive them; as wax melts before fire, the wicked perish before the face of Elohim.
4
But the righteous rejoice; they exult before the face of Elohim and rejoice with gladness.
5
Sing to Elohim; make melody to His Name. Raise a highway for the One riding through deserts— Yah is His Name— and exult before His face.
6
Father of the fatherless and Judge of widows is Elohim in His set-apart dwelling.
7
Elohim causes the solitary to dwell in a House; He brings prisoners into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in scorched land.
8
Elohim, when You went out before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness— Selah—
9
the earth shook; even heavens dripped before the face of Elohim, this Sinai before the face of Elohim, Elohim of Yisra’el.
10
A rain of free gifts You shook out, Elohim; Your Inheritance was weary, but You established it.
11
Your living company dwelt in it; in Your goodness You prepared for the afflicted, Elohim.
12
Adonai gives the Word; those bearing good news are a great host.
13
Kings of armies flee, they flee, and the ishah remaining in the House divides the spoil.
14
Though you lie between sheepfolds, the wings of a dove are covered in silver, and her feathers in yellow gold.
15
When Shaddai scattered kings in it, it snowed in Tzalmon.
16
A mountain of Elohim is the mountain of Bashan; a mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
17
Why do you watch with envy, mountains of peaks, the mountain Elohim desired for His dwelling? Indeed, Yahuah dwells there forever.
18
The chariots of Elohim are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; Adonai is among them, Sinai in the Set-Apart Place.
19
You ascended on high; You took captivity captive; You received gifts among Adam, even the rebellious, so Yah Elohim might dwell there.
20
Blessed is Adonai day by day; He bears our burden, the El of our Salvation. Selah.
21
El is for us an El of saving deeds; to Yahuah Adonai belong exits from death.
22
Surely Elohim crushes the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of one walking in his guilt.
23
Adonai said, “From Bashan I return; I return from depths of the sea,
24
so your foot may crush in blood, the tongue of your dogs receiving its portion from enemies.”
25
They have seen Your processions, Elohim, processions of my El, my King, into the Set-Apart Place.
26
Singers went before, musicians afterward; among them were maidens striking tambourines.
27
Bless Elohim in assemblies, Yahuah, from the fountain of Yisra’el.
28
There is Binyamin, the little one, ruling them; rulers of Yehudah, their company; rulers of Zevulun; rulers of Naphtali.
29
Your Elohim has commanded your strength. Strengthen, Elohim, what You have worked for us.
30
Because of Your Temple at Yerushalayim, kings bring gifts to You.
31
Rebuke the beast of reeds, the congregation of mighty bulls among calves of peoples, trampling pieces of silver. Scatter peoples delighting in battles.
32
Bronze vessels come from Mitzrayim; Kush quickly stretches her palms to Elohim.
33
Kingdoms of the earth, sing to Elohim; make melody to Adonai. Selah.
34
To the One riding upon the heavens of ancient heavens— see, He gives His voice, a voice of strength.
35
Give strength to Elohim; His majesty is over Yisra’el, and His strength is in the clouds.
36
Fearsome are You, Elohim, from Your Set-Apart Places. The El of Yisra’el gives strength and power to the people. Blessed is Elohim.
