1
To the Overseer. A melody of Daviyd.
2
Rescue me, Yahuah, from an evil Adam; guard me from the ish of violence,
3
who devise evils in heart; all day they gather for battles.
4
They sharpen their tongue like a serpent; venom of a cobra is beneath their lips. Selah.
5
Guard me, Yahuah, from hands of the wicked; preserve me from the ish of violence, who devised to push my steps.
6
Proud ones hid a trap for me, and cords; they spread a net beside the path; they set snares for me. Selah.
7
I said to Yahuah, “You are my El.” Give ear, Yahuah, to the voice of my supplications.
8
Yahuah Adonai, Strength of my Salvation, You covered my head in the day of weapons.
9
Do not give, Yahuah, the desires of the wicked; do not bring out his scheme, lest they rise. Selah.
10
As for the head of those surrounding me, let the labor of their own lips cover them.
11
Let burning coals fall upon them; let them be cast into fire, into deep pits, so they rise no more.
12
Let an ish of tongue not be established in the earth; let evil hunt the ish of violence with thrust upon thrust.
13
I know Yahuah executes the cause of the afflicted, the Judgment of the needy.
14
Surely the righteous thank Your Name; the upright dwell before Your face.
