The Word of Yahuah that came to Tzefanyah son of Kushi, son of Gedalyah, son of Amaryah, son of Chizqiyahu, in the days of Yoshiyahu son of Amon, king of Yehudah.

“Gathering, I will surely gather everything from upon the face of the ground,” declares Yahuah.
3
“I will gather Adam and beast. I will gather the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked. And I will cut off Adam from upon the face of the ground,” declares Yahuah.
4
“And I will stretch out My hand against Yehudah and against all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim. And I will cut off from this place the remnant of Ba’al, the name of the idolatrous priests with the kohenim,

and those who bow themselves upon the rooftops to the host of the heavens, and those who bow themselves and swear to Yahuah, yet swear also by Malkam,
6
and those who turn back from following Yahuah, and those who have not sought Yahuah nor inquired of Him.”
7
Be silent before the face of Adonai Yahuah, for the Day of Yahuah is near. For Yahuah has prepared a sacrifice. He has set apart His invited ones.
8
“And it shall be in the day of the sacrifice of Yahuah that I will visit the rulers, and the sons of the king, and all those clothed in foreign garments.
9
And I will visit in that day all who leap over the threshold, those who fill the house of their master with violence and deceit.
10
And it shall be in that day,” declares Yahuah, “that there shall be the sound of a cry from the Fish Gate, and a wailing from the Second Quarter, and a great breaking from the hills.
11
Wail, inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut off. All those weighed down with silver are destroyed.
12
And it shall be at that time that I will search Yerushalayim with lamps, and I will visit the men who are settled upon their dregs, who say in their heart: ‘Yahuah will not do good, nor will He do evil.’
13
And their wealth shall become plunder, and their houses desolation. They shall build houses but not dwell in them, and plant vineyards but not drink their wine.
14
The great Day of Yahuah is near. It is near and hastening exceedingly. The sound of the Day of Yahuah— there the mighty man cries bitterly.
15
That day is a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of cloud and thick darkness,
16
a day of shofar and battle cry against the fortified cities and against the high corner towers.
17
And I will bring distress upon Adam, and they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against Yahuah. And their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung.
18
Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahuah. And by the fire of His jealousy the whole earth shall be consumed. For a complete end— yes, a sudden one— He will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
