And it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the river Kevar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim.

On the fifth day of the month—it was the fifth year of the exile of King Yehoyakhin—

the Word of Yahuah came expressly to Yechezqel son of Buzi, the kohen, in the land of the Kasdim by the river Kevar. And there the hand of Yahuah came upon him.
4
And I looked, and see, a storm-wind came from the north— a great cloud, and fire flashing within itself, and brightness all around it. And from its midst was something like the appearance of glowing electrum, from the midst of the fire.

And from its midst came the likeness of four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of Adam.
6
And each one had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.
7
And their feet were straight feet. And the sole of their feet was like the sole of the foot of a calf. And they sparkled like the appearance of polished bronze.
8
And the hands of Adam were beneath their wings on their four sides. And the four of them had their faces and their wings.
9
Their wings joined one to another. They did not turn when they went. Each one went straight toward the face before him.
10
And as for the likeness of their faces: the face of Adam, and the face of a lion on the right for all four, and the face of an ox on the left for all four, and the face of an eagle for all four.
11
Thus were their faces. And their wings were spread upward. Two wings of each one joined another, and two covered their bodies.
12
And each one went straight toward the face before him. Wherever the ruach was to go, they went. They did not turn when they went.
13
And the likeness of the living beings— their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire moved back and forth between the living beings. And the fire had brightness, and from the fire went out lightning.
14
And the living beings ran and returned like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
15
And I looked at the living beings, and see, one wheel was upon the earth beside the living beings, for each of their four faces.
16
The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like the appearance of Tarshish stone. And the four had one likeness. And their appearance and their workmanship were as though a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.
17
When they went, they went upon their four sides. They did not turn when they went.
18
And as for their rims, they were high and dreadful. And their rims were full of eyes all around the four of them.
19
And when the living beings went, the wheels went beside them. And when the living beings were lifted up from upon the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20
Wherever the ruach was to go, they went— wherever the ruach was to go. And the wheels were lifted up alongside them, for the ruach of the living being was in the wheels.
21
When these went, those went. And when these stood, those stood. And when these were lifted up from upon the earth, the wheels were lifted up alongside them, for the ruach of the living being was in the wheels.
22
And above the heads of the living beings was the likeness of an expanse, like the appearance of awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads from above.

And beneath the expanse their wings were straight, one toward another. Each one had two covering this side, and each one had two covering that side, their bodies.
24
And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the voice of Shaddai— a sound of tumult, like the sound of a host. When they stood, they lowered their wings.
25
And there was a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they lowered their wings.
26
And above the expanse that was over their heads was something like the appearance of sapphire stone, the likeness of a Throne. And upon the likeness of the Throne was a likeness like the appearance of Adam upon it from above.
27
And I saw something like the appearance of glowing electrum, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around within it. From the appearance of His waist and upward, and from the appearance of His waist and downward, I saw something like the appearance of fire, and brightness was all around Him.
28
Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on a day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the Glory of Yahuah. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of One speaking.
