1
“And you, son of Adam, take for yourself a sharp sword. As a barber’s razor you shall take it for yourself and cause it to pass over your head and over your beard. And you shall take for yourself scales for weighing, and divide the hair.

A third you shall burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are completed. And you shall take a third and strike it with the sword all around it. And a third you shall scatter to the ruach, and I will draw out a sword after them.

And you shall take from there a few in number and bind them in the edges of your garment.
4
And from these again you shall take, and cast them into the midst of the fire and burn them in the fire. From it shall go out fire to all the House of Yisra’el.
5
Thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘This is Yerushalayim. In the midst of the nations I have set her, and countries are all around her.
6
And she rebelled against My Judgments more wickedly than the nations, and against My statutes more than the countries around her. For they rejected My Judgments, and in My statutes they did not walk.’
7
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Because you have raged more than the nations around you, and have not walked in My statutes, and have not done My Judgments, and have not even done according to the judgments of the nations around you,

therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: See, I—also I—am against you, and I will execute Judgments in your midst before the eyes of the nations.
9
And I will do in you what I have not done, and the like of which I will not do again, because of all your abominations.
10
Therefore fathers shall eat sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers. And I will execute Judgments in you, and all your remnant I will scatter to every ruach.
11
Therefore, living am I,’ declares Adonai Yahuah, ‘because you have defiled My Sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, I also will withdraw. My eye shall not spare, and I also will not have compassion.
12
A third of you shall die by pestilence and be consumed by famine in your midst. And a third shall fall by the sword all around you. And a third I will scatter to every ruach, and I will draw out a sword after them.
13
And My anger shall be completed, and I will cause My wrath to rest upon them, and I will be comforted. And they shall know that I, Yahuah, have spoken in My zeal, when I complete My wrath upon them.
14
And I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations around you, before the eyes of everyone passing by.
15
And it shall become a reproach, and a taunt, a discipline, and an astonishment to the nations around you, when I execute Judgments in you in anger and in wrath and in furious rebukes. I, Yahuah, have spoken.
16
When I send against them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, then I will increase famine upon you and break your staff of bread.
17
And I will send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave you. And pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and a sword I will bring upon you. I, Yahuah, have spoken.’”
