1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:

“Son of Adam, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.
3
And you, son of Adam, prepare for yourself the equipment of exile, and go into exile by day before their eyes. And you shall go into exile from your place to another place before their eyes. Perhaps they will see, though they are a rebellious house.
4
And you shall bring out your equipment like the equipment of exile by day before their eyes. And you yourself shall go out in the evening before their eyes, as those going out into exile.
5
Before their eyes, dig through the wall for yourself, and bring your things out through it.
6
Before their eyes, carry them upon your shoulder. In the darkness you shall bring them out. You shall cover your face, so that you do not see the land. For I have appointed you as a sign to the House of Yisra’el.”
7
And I did according to what I was commanded. I brought out my equipment by day like the equipment of exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand. In the darkness I brought it out, and upon my shoulder I carried it before their eyes.

And in the morning the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:

“Son of Adam, has not the House of Yisra’el, the rebellious house, said to you: ‘What are you doing?’
10
Say to them: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah: This burden concerns the ruler in Yerushalayim and all the House of Yisra’el who are in their midst.’
11
Say: ‘I am your sign. As I have done, so it shall be done to them. Into exile, into captivity, they shall go.
12
And the ruler who is in their midst shall carry upon his shoulder in the darkness, and shall go out. Through the wall they shall dig to bring him out through it. He shall cover his face, so that he does not see the land with his eye.
13
And I will spread My net over him, and he shall be caught in My snare. And I will bring him to Bavel, to the land of the Kasdim, yet he shall not see it. And there he shall die.
14
And all who are around him—his help and all his troops—I will scatter to every ruach. And I will draw out a sword after them.
15
And they shall know that I am Yahuah, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the lands.
16
Yet I will leave from them a few ish from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, so that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they go. And they shall know that I am Yahuah.’”
17
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
18
“Son of Adam, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with shaking and anxiety.
19
And say to the people of the land: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah concerning the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, upon the land of Yisra’el: Their bread they shall eat with anxiety, and their water they shall drink in desolation, so that her land may become desolate from its fullness, because of the violence of all those dwelling in it.
20
And the inhabited cities shall be laid waste, and the land shall become a desolation. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.’”

And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:

“Son of Adam, what is this proverb that you have concerning the land of Yisra’el, saying: ‘The days are prolonged, and every vision perishes’?
23
Therefore say to them: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah: I will cause this proverb to cease, and they shall no longer use it as a proverb in Yisra’el.’ But speak to them: ‘The days have drawn near, and the matter of every vision.’
24
For there shall no longer be any empty vision or flattering divination in the midst of the House of Yisra’el.
25
For I, Yahuah, will speak. The Word that I speak shall be done. It shall no longer be delayed. For in your days, rebellious house, I will speak the Word and do it,” declares Adonai Yahuah.

And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
27
“Son of Adam, see, the House of Yisra’el is saying: ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies concerning distant times.’
28
Therefore say to them: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah: None of My Words shall be delayed any longer. The Word that I speak shall be done,’” declares Adonai Yahuah.
