1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
2
“Son of Adam, prophesy against the prophets of Yisra’el who are prophesying, and say to those who prophesy from their own heart: ‘Hear the Word of Yahuah.’
3
Thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Woe to the foolish prophets, who walk after their own ruach and have seen nothing.
4
Like foxes among ruins your prophets have become, Yisra’el.
5
You have not gone up into the breaches, nor built a wall for the House of Yisra’el, that it might stand in battle in the Day of Yahuah.
6
They have seen emptiness and divined falsehood, those saying: “Yahuah declares,” when Yahuah has not sent them. Yet they wait for the word to be established.
7
Have you not seen an empty vision and spoken a false divination, when you say: “Yahuah declares,” though I have not spoken?’
8
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Because you have spoken emptiness and seen falsehood, therefore see, I am against you,’ declares Adonai Yahuah.
9
‘And My hand shall be against the prophets who see emptiness and divine falsehood. They shall not be in the assembly of My people, and they shall not be written in the writing of the House of Yisra’el, and they shall not enter the land of Yisra’el. And you shall know that I am Adonai Yahuah.
10
Because, indeed because, they have caused My people to wander, saying: “Shalom,” when there is no shalom. And one builds a wall, and see, they coat it with whitewash.
11
Say to those coating it with whitewash that it shall fall. There shall be an overflowing rain, and you, stones of hail, shall fall, and a stormy ruach shall break forth.
12
And see, when the wall has fallen, shall it not be said to you: “Where is the coating with which you coated it?”
13
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘I will cause a stormy ruach to break forth in My wrath, and there shall be an overflowing rain in My anger, and stones of hail in wrath, for complete destruction.
14
And I will tear down the wall that you coated with whitewash, and cause it to reach the ground, and its foundation shall be uncovered. And it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in its midst. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.
15
And I will complete My wrath upon the wall and upon those coating it with whitewash. And I will say to you: “The wall is no more, and those who coated it are no more—
16
the prophets of Yisra’el who prophesied concerning Yerushalayim and saw for her visions of shalom when there was no shalom,”’ declares Adonai Yahuah.
17
And you, son of Adam, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy from their own heart, and prophesy against them.
18
And say: ‘Thus says Adonai Yahuah: Woe to those who sew bands upon all wrists and make veils upon the head of every stature, to hunt beings. Will you hunt the beings of My people and preserve your own beings alive?
19
And you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, putting to death beings who should not die, and preserving alive beings who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to falsehood.
20
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: See, I am against your bands with which you hunt the beings there like birds. And I will tear them from upon your arms, and I will send free the beings— the beings you hunt like birds.
21
And I will tear away your veils and deliver My people from your hand, and they shall no longer be in your hand to be hunted. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.
22
Because with falsehood you have caused the heart of the righteous to grieve, whom I did not cause to grieve, and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked so that he does not return from his evil way and preserve his life,
23
therefore you shall no longer see emptiness nor divine divinations. And I will deliver My people from your hand. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.’”
