1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
2
“Son of Adam, what is the wood of the vine more than any other wood, the vine branch that is among the trees of the forest?
3
Is wood taken from it to make any work? Do they take from it a peg to hang any vessel upon?
4
See, it is given to the fire for fuel. The fire consumes both its ends, and its middle is scorched. Is it fit for any work?
5
See, when it was whole, it was not made into any work. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is scorched, shall it still be made into any work?”
6
Therefore thus says Adonai Yahuah: “As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I have given the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.
7
And I will set My face against them. From the fire they have gone out, and the fire shall consume them. And you shall know that I am Yahuah, when I set My face against them.
8
And I will make the land a desolation, because they have acted treacherously,” declares Adonai Yahuah.
